4/25/2023 0 Comments Tragically hip filmThe final Tragically Hip concert, broadcast live, was watched by 11.7 million Canadians, the second-largest audience in Canadian TV history. Long Time Running, by directors Jennifer Baichwal and Nick de Pencier, includes interviews with Downie, his brother Patrick, bandmates Paul Langlois, Rob Baker, Johnnie Fay and Gord Sinclair, and managers and key crew. The Canadian broadcaster has been investing heavily in original content for CraveTV, including the Letterkenny and Shut Eye series, to better compete against Netflix Canada. “We’re honored to have played a role in bringing Long Time Running to life, a film that celebrates the legacy of the band and their music which has become a soundtrack to the lives of many Canadians,” Bell Media president Randy Lennox said in a statement.
